The Craft
Woven in Bolgatanga, northern Ghana, the Bolga basket is twisted from sun-dried elephant grass and finished with a hand-stitched leather handle. Because the grass is dyed with natural pigments and woven by hand, small variations in tone and size are part of each basket's character.

Mist lightly with water and reshape by hand if the weave loosens.
Keep out of prolonged direct sunlight to preserve dye colour.
